(16 September 2022, Hong Kong) Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, State Power Investment Group Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. ("SPICOC") and Templewater Group held a virtual signing ceremony to sign a green hydrogen supply (hydrogen energy transportation) strategic cooperation agreement. At the ceremony, the two parties will use hydrogen energy transportation as the starting point, to seize the development opportunities of the hydrogen energy industry, and jointly promote the demonstration and industrial cooperation of Hong Kong's green hydrogen supply and zero-carbon transportation.
According to the agreement, the two parties will use "green hydrogen supply solutions + application scenarios + project investment" as the cooperation model to join forces to expand the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area market, explore global hydrogen energy project investment opportunities, and create a win-win and sustainable development strategic partnership.
Assistant General Manager and Director of the Development Department of State Power Investment Corporation (“SPIC”), Mr. Hou Xuezhong said "under the background of the dual-carbon strategic goal and the development of the hydrogen energy industry, the strategic cooperation in green hydrogen supply between SPICOC and Templewater Group is of great significance. The two parties will further expand cooperation in scientific research and demonstration projects, infrastructure projects, capital projects, personnel training and other fields, and use green transportation and zero-carbon city whole industry chain solutions to drive upstream, mid-stream and downstream industries to global development."

In the next step, the two parties will be committed to cooperating to promote the implementation of the first integrated demonstration project of green hydrogen production, storage and refueling in Hong Kong, and jointly study the cooperation and promotion plan of SPIC Olympic bus and power system, in order to promote Hong Kong, Macao, The Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone and other key urban areas in the Greater Bay Area have laid a solid foundation for accelerating the transformation and development of low-carbon and clean energy.
