(31 January 2024, Hong Kong) Templewater, a distinguished alternative investment firm, co-founded by a former Deutsche Bank AG banker, is seeking up to US$800 million for two new funds in Asia. This strategic move comes at a time when the market is deemed challenging, with fundraising at close to a decade low.

In a recent Bloomberg article, Templewater's Co-Founder, Mr. Cliff Zhang, shared that the company is commencing efforts to raise US$400 million to US$500 million for its second private equity fund, effectively doubling its previous pool. Additionally, the firm is aiming to secure US$300 million for a decarbonization fund, aligning with the company's commitment to sustainable investment initiatives.
